Crisis in care system

Over thirty organisations raise their concerns.


Disability Rights UK, Learning Disability Coalition and the National Autistic Society are amongst the organisationswhich signed a letter highlighting the crisis in the care system, which leaves disabled people without the care and support needed. 

Paul Burstow, the minister of state for care services, appeared before the commons health select committee and told its members that ‘there is no gap’ in social care funding. Signatories of the letter published in the Guardian newspaper responded by saying ‘it is woefully wrong’ to deny the care system crisis.  Read the letter at:
