'I'm a freelance journalist who is doing a lot of work on disability hate crime. Last month, I discovered that recorded disability hate crime is at an all-time high (the piece appeared in the Independent here: http://ind.pn/MLJY2Z). Following on from that, I'm hoping to talk to people who have been the victims of disability hate crime for a new piece, especially those who have been at the end of what's commonly called 'benefit scrounger abuse'.
If you have experienced disability hate crime or abuse and would be happy to tell your story, please do get in contact. Hearing firsthand the experiences of those affected is so important in shining a light on a problem that remains woefully under reported. I'd be extremely grateful to anyone gets in touch - all details below.'
