The Independent Living Fund (ILF) is dedicated to delivering financial support to disabled people and to advance standards of independent living.
The government has already stopped applications by new claimants to ILF and will close it completely in 2015. Disabled people are concerned about the impact of this on individual’s lives and what might happen if the funding were to disappear.
PA Pool has launched a survey of ILF service users on the proposed changes and the impact ILF had on independence. To take part in the survey, click here The results of the survey will inform PA Pools response to the government’s consultation on the future of the ILF.
The consultation ends on 10 October, more information can be found at: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/consultations/2012/future-of-ilf.shtml
It is important that disabled people let the government know their views about the future of the ILF fund. Take part in the survey and/or respond to the consultation.
