Inclusion London’s response to the Green Paper Consultation Questions SEN Green Paper Inclusion London Information Paper 020611 We have two key concerns with the Green paper which are:

The medical approach to disability running through out the proposals, retreating from the social model that understands it is not disabled people who ‘have a problem’ rather it is society that needs to change to be inclusive and equal. The government’s bias against inclusive education and the support of special schools, which is ideologically driven and not evidence based. Copies of the government’s consultation document and Inclusion London’s response can be downloaded from the column on the right hand side. The consultation closes on 30 June 2011.
