The national organisation, Disability Alliance (DA), has taken the first step in potential legal action against the coalition government’s plans to abolish Disability Living Allowance and replace it with ‘Personal Independence Payment’ with a lower budget and worse conditions.

DA has issued a ‘letter of claim’ to the Department for Work and Pensions based on legal advice as well as the views of members and subscribers who responded to their survey on the issue.
