Olympic legacy plans: call for inclusive design
Inclusion London recommends that a major new development in the Olympic boroughs is accessible and inclusive.

Inclusion London has responded to the draft Olympic Legacy Supplementary Planning guidance (OLSPG) consultation recommending that a major new development in the Olympic boroughs is accessible and inclusive. Another key recommendation is that ‘Accessible development’ is one of the ‘Over-arching development principles’.
The Mayor is planning a major building project to provide around 29,000 new homes and 1.35 million square metres of office in a triangle of land formed by Stratford City, the City of London and Canary Wharf as part of the Olympic legacy.
The OLSPG will provide one document that covers the whole area of the development, applying London Plan policy and setting out the Mayor’s ‘vision’ for the area. Inclusion London calls on the Mayor to stand by his promise and ensure that this development is a ‘fully accessible... transformation for one of the most diverse - yet deprived - parts of London’.
