Got two minutes?

Sign the petition below, there’s only a few weeks left to influence the Welfare Reform Bill before it becomes law. The Bill will bring in changes to welfare benefits that will hit disabled people hard.

The Welfare Reform Bill, which will bring in unfair changes to disability benefits, is currently being debated by the House of Lords. Take ten minutes to write to a Lord or Lady.

What should I say?

• A personal story about how you, or someone you know, will be affected by the changes will help decision makers understand the effect of their choices.
• Keep it short and to the point.
• We have provided a template letter, please change it so it applies to your circumstances. Delete any parts that are not appropriate to you.

Who to contact?

Target Lords that have an interest in disabled people, members of the All-Party Committee on Disability, would be a good place to start. You can see members of the All-Party group at: www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm/cmallparty/register/disability.htm
